Water Taxi in Boot Key Harbor. Lunch at Bahia Honda. Nice water colors at Bahia Honda State Park. Look for the big lizard. Nice views at Bahia Honda; but too shallow for sailing. I couldn't even get my dinghy to this beach. Three Hungarians who have a very different idea about how to see the Keys. Glad everyone is having a good time! Must be Cuban boat people! Everybody needs a driver in Marathon. There is always a rose between two thorns. Chiki Tiki Restaurant & Fuel Dock at Burdines Marina. This is the Marathon drawbridge leading into Boot Key Harbor between Vaca Key and Boot Key.
We are docked at Burdine's Marina which is west of the drawbridge, so we didn't have to go under the bridge. Just a neat little restaurant at one of the other marinas. It is impossible to take a photo that shows all the boats at anchor and on moorings. I would guess that there are somewhere between 600 and 1000 boats anchored or on moorings in Boot Key Harbor. More boats shot from a different direction in Boot Key Harbor. This is where we beached our dinghy, and went to the beach around the corner on the Atlantic side of Vaca Key. |
