Look for the big lizard.

Nice views at Bahia Honda; but too shallow for sailing.  I couldn't even get my dinghy to this beach.

Chiki Tiki Restaurant & Fuel Dock at Burdines Marina.

This is the Marathon drawbridge leading into Boot Key Harbor between Vaca Key and Boot Key.  We are docked at Burdine's Marina which is west of the drawbridge, so we didn't have to go under the bridge.

Most of the boats are anchored or on a mooring the other side of the bridge.  Marathon and City Marina have installed over 200 moorings, so it is possible now to pick up a mooring and this has eliminated some of the anchoring problems of the past.

Just a neat little restaurant at one of the other marinas.

It is impossible to take a photo that shows all the boats at anchor and on moorings.  I would guess that there are somewhere between 600 and 1000 boats anchored or on moorings in Boot Key Harbor.

More boats shot from a different direction in Boot Key Harbor.

This is where we beached our dinghy, and went to the beach around the corner on the Atlantic side of Vaca Key.
